NILAI: Four Under-22 players have been axed by national youth coach for the tour of Bangkok.

He made the decision after assessing the players in the 1-0 defeat to Super League side Mifa in Saturday’s friendly at the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia Stadium here.

“Izzan Syahmi Mustapa and Arisdius Jais are injured while Ariff Ar Rasyid Ariffin has not recovered from illness. Faisal Halim, who is in Bangkok with Pahang, is also said to be injured,” said Kim Swee.

Pedro Henrique’s 12th-minute goal earned Mifa the win over Kim Swee’s side.

The national Under-22 side leave for Bangkok on Sunday. They play Army United (Jan 14), Bangkok Glass (Jan 16) and Ayutthaya United (Jan 18) in friendly matches.
