KUALA LUMPUR: Every day is a learning curve for Gavin Green in his debut at The British Open but the 24-year-old Malaysian is getting better with every round.

As he enters the final round at Carnoustie today, Gavin is in joint 61st place and in good company alongside the likes of two-time Major winner Brookes Koepka, 2016 British Open winner Henrik Stenson, Ryan Fox, Paul Casey, Brett Rumford, Kevin Na and Cameron Davis.

The 2017 Asian Tour Order of Merit winner is at three-over-par 216 following rounds of 72-73-71 after managing to reduce his mistakes to card only two bogeys which were neutralised by two birdies on 6 and 11.

The top of the leaderboard saw three players tied, former World No. 1 Jordan Spieth, Americans Xander Schauffele and Kevin Kisner heading into the final round with nine-over-par 204.
