KUALA TERENGGANU: LPT2 De’Perasing Ride 2019 of Ajil Challenge confirms the largest number of participants with over 2,000 national and regional cyclists.

The one-day high energy cycling competition participation has doubled since its inaugural race in 2017 with a thousand cyclist and over 1,300 in 2018.

"Over the past two years, LPT2 De’Perasing Ride has gained a reputation of being a truly challenging terrain for many cyclists and this year we increased the excitement by staging the race at Ajil, which poses new and exceptional riding routes along our highway," said LPT2 Business Region Manager Roszi Ibrahim.

“We have also attracted cycling enthusiasts from Brunei Darussalam and Thailand, while we see a return of participants from Singapore as per the past year. This is fantastic news as our ride is happening during the Visit Terengganu Year," Roszi added.

Also joining the event is former national champion Anuar Manan along with other top cycling teams such as TSG.

There will be 3 different riding categories namely; Road Bike (100 kilometres), Mountain Bike (50 kilometres) and the Fun Ride (50 kilometres).

The LPT2 De’Perasing Ride 2019 – Ajil Challenge, will be held on Nov 16 and is organised by LPT2 in collaboration with the Terengganu State Government, the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) and other Government and local State agencies.

Prizes totalling over RM58,000 will be up for grabs.
