PUTRAJAYA: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al- Mustafa Billah Shah will undertake a three-day Special Visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) starting today.

He will be accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Marzuki Yahya, senior government and Istana Negara officials.

In a statement today, Foreign Ministry said during the Special Visit, Sultan Abdullah is scheduled to have a meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, as well as other Emirati leaders.

“His Majesty will also meet the Malaysian diaspora today,” the statement read.

Sultan Abdullah’s Special Visit to the UAE symbolises the warm and close bilateral relations between the two countries, the Foreign Ministry said.

The Special Visit will certainly contribute to further cementing the existing bond of friendship between Malaysia and the UAE, it added.
