IN less than a month, HUAWEI will be introducing possibly the best camera smartphone of the year, the HUAWEI P30 series in Paris, France. Not long ago, HUAWEI Global announced the launch date of the P30 series on its official Twitter account that amped up anticipation towards what will be coming next which is the HUAWEI P30 series.

As proven in its previous models like the P9, P10 and P20, HUAWEI has always been known for its excellence in the phone camera area, giving users extraordinary quality of photos, as if they are taken with professional cameras.

This is because HUAWEI has always been innovative in making sure that its smartphones have the best cameras. This can be seen from its collaborations with German camera maker Leica up to the introduction of the world’s first triple-lens camera, the P20.

The HUAWEI P series has always been the flagship product of HUAWEI, focusing on photography. Ever since the collaboration with Leica in 2016 with the HUAWEI P9 series, the company redefined the meaning of smartphone photography with the introduction of a dual-lens camera setup. The dual lenses enable users to capture a bokeh effect image by blurring the background – imitating the image quality of professional DSLR cameras.

In the last few years, HUAWEI has invested a lot of effort, time and money in smartphone photography technologies and innovation.

Just last year, HUAWEI achieved a level high with the advent of Leica co-engineered triple-camera lenses with a 40MP main camera feature – once again elevating the quality of smartphone photography. Images of the galaxy, traffic trails, light graffiti, silky water, and super slow mo, just to name a few, are now made possible with the HUAWEI P series phones – all can be done with just a click.

In terms of low light capabilities, the HUAWEI P20 Pro is the first device in the world that can capture images in low light conditions of up to ISO 102,400 sensitivity – capturing a subject in darkness that even the naked eye cannot see. In view of that, there’s no doubt that the HUAWEI P20 Pro received a lot of significant awards from the media and was recognised as the top camera smartphone on DxOMark, scoring the highest-ever mark of 109.

Now that all HUAWEI’s upcoming smartphones will be powered by the Kirin 980 – HUAWEI’s proprietary mobile AI chipset – AI-Photography experience has become a peace-of-mind. It’s something which is very easy to do and anybody can do.

Richard Yu’s super moon image showcasing the zooming power of HUAWEI P30

Now take a look at what the upcoming HUAWEI P30 smartphone can do, based on leaks uploaded by HUAWEI’s Consumer Business Group’s CEO, Richard Yu.

Yu recently uploaded the super moon image during the Chap Goh Mei celebrations of the Lunar Chinese New Year to showcase the zooming power of the new HUAWEI P30 series phone on his Weibo account, where a watermark of the next HUAWEI P series was printed on the image.

Understandably, a photo such as this can only be taken with a professional camera equipment, which can produce a detailed close up shot of the moon. From the watermark, we are able to recognise that this could be the HUAWEI P30 series, and what’s even great about this new phone is that it may come with a quad-camera setup.

Right after the Mobile World Congress 2019, Bruce Lee, Vice President, Handset Business of HUAWEI Consumer Business Group, released a total of four images depicting the zooming capability of the next smartphone, which could be taken from the HUAWEI P30 series. The images show a great disparity of distances from far to near – demonstrating that the next smartphone can capture a subject that is very far away without compromising the quality of the image. This shows that the upcoming HUAWEI P30 series phone will definitely be the best in its class.

HUAWEI P Series launches have always been interesting and happening

In addition to that, HUAWEI Malaysia will usually offer amazing goodies during the launch of its brand new smartphone. During the launch of the HUAWEI Mate 20 Series in October 2018, HUAWEI gave out Wireless Chargers, HUAWEI Sound Stones, DJI Tello drones, as well as Mate20 VIP Card worth over RM10, 000.

It appears that HUAWEI has more to offer other than just the new P30 Series. The company will also be introducing a gorgeous external backup hard drive solution – the HUAWEI 1TB Backup Storage Drive. It’s designed to automatically or manually back up data from your phone. It also doubles as a fast or superfast charger for different HUAWEI devices, including laptops. Besides that, it uses waterproof fabric to cover the hard drive, keeping it elegant while being pragmatic.

So what would one of the goodies for the HUAWEI P30 Series launch in Malaysia be? Let’s wait for the unveiling of the best camera smartphone on March 26, 2019.
