KUALA LUMPUR: Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has launched the ‘Quick Balance’ service within the Maybank2u mobile application, allowing customers to view their account balance on mobile device.

With the service, customers only need to tap on a button to access account balance and to be able to customise the specific balances to monitor them even on the go, Maybank said in a statement today.

Maybank head of community financial services Malaysia Hamirullah Boorhan said the service was aimed at enhancing Maybank’s offering in the digital space and enabling customers to conduct basic banking more easily.

“Viewing account balance is something that each of us do on a regular basis.

“While our Maybank2u users can do so easily, many customers merely want to check balances but not transact online,” he said.

Hamirullah said while ‘Quick Balance’ does not require customers to undertake a full Maybank2u online banking access, it offers customers the flexibility to customise the balances they wish to monitor.

“To get access, customers need to create a new six-digit ‘Quick Balance’ PIN by registering any of their savings, current account or credit card number and they will immediately gain access to view their balances,” he said. -- Bernama
