KUALA LUMPUR: BOOK lovers should visit BookXcess in Fahrenheit 88 to get book at wholesale prices.

The outlet, which opened in May, is an extension of its outlet in AmCorp Mall and is about 500-sq m big, housing nearly 100,000 books.

BookXcess managing director Andrew Yap said the outlet offers a range of books on personal motivation, reference books and professional guides.

“This outlet is smaller than the one in Amcorp but we do have a wide range of books and a steady flow of customers,” he said, adding that they received about 6,000 visitors monthly.

“Not only do we attract executives, we also have tourists and expatriates buying books here.

“Some said that our books, especially the children’s books, are cheaper than anywhere else,” he said.

This time around, Yap said that the outlet’s pop-up books, blanket and bath books for children were the hot picks.

The store also has a “Curious Corner” which sells toys, gifts and souvenirs.

One of the most popular items at the section is their tin signs and posters which display comic characters, landscape prints, inspirational quotes and movie posters.

Other perks offered by BookXcess for this season include free premium gift wrapping paper and greeting tags.

The bookshop also gives out books for underprivileged children under its charity programme.

One can choose to donate books to the children by going to the customer service counter in the store and randomly pick an individual’s name from a box prepared.

The bookstore will match the purchase made for the needy children.

The donor is also given a tag to write a personalised message to the child chosen.

Meanwhile, those who had missed the Big Bad Wolf sale recently can also look forward to buying the leftover books at the store.
