KUALA LUMPUR: In the spirit of the upcoming Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations, Enfiniti Sdn Bhd will bring the award-winning production of Ola Bola The Musical to tour to four states and admission will be free for all.

After the musical ended its second season earlier this year, its producer and director Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina had received lots of feedback asking her to bring the production to tour across the nation.

“There were people who said that it was such a pity some of their friends could not watch the musical due to logistics and not everyone could afford to pay for the tickets,” Tiara told reporters earlier today.

The award-winning actress and producer was met at a press conference held at Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC) here to announce the restaging and national tour of the Ola Bola.

The tour will begin in Penang on Aug 31, followed by performances in Kuching, Sarawak (Sept 6), Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (Sept 16) and finally in Kuantan, Pahang (Sept 21).

Except for the shows in Kuching, which will be full-scale musical performances, the other locations will see a one-hour showcase of an adaptation of the actual musical.

“This is also partly because of the venues involved. In Sarawak, we will put up the show at Stadium Perpaduan Kuching,” she said.
