BTS is the most streamed K-Pop artiste in Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: K-Pop giant BTS continues to exert its influence around the globe as well as in Malaysia.

Based on Spotify’s annual look back in music, the 7-member South Korean music outfit is the most streamed K-Pop group of 2018 here.

Following BTS, the Top 5 list of most streamed K-Pop groups on Spotify in Malaysia are rounded up by BlackPink, Twice, Exo and iKon.

The popular music streaming service also revealed that BTS’ Fake Love was the top K-Pop song on the platform with over 175 million streams.

On a different note, Soompi reported today that BTS’s Love Yourself: Tear has been nominated for Best Recording Package at the upcoming 2019 Grammy Awards.

Apparently, the category is given to an art director for a music album in recognition for the visual look of the release.

The art director for Love Yourself: Tear, which dropped in May, is HuskyFox. The other art director’s nominated in the same category are for Mitski’s Be The Cowboy, St. Vincent’s Masseduction, The Chairman’s The Offering and Foxhole’s Well Kept Thing.

Next year’s Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb 10.
