KUALA LUMPUR: Adam Corrie Lee, best known for playing ‘bad guy’ roles, never forgets history.

Recently, he paid glowing tribute to the country’s past leaders for “graciously welcoming his forefathers” to Malaya and Malaysia, and therefore contributing to Bangsa Malaysia.

In an Instagram post which showed a recent photo of himself with his 74-year-old mother, Adam Corrie said: “Alhamdulillah. Thank you, past leaders of the country, for graciously welcoming my

forefathers to Malaya/Malaysia and giving them citizenship. On my part, I will always respect the special position of the Malays, Orang Asli and Bumiputera of Sarawak and Sabah. Hormat tuan rumah!”

The 50-year-old artiste said : “It is mentioned in the Holy Quran that God created all of us different so that we respect one another and learn to live harmoniously together.”

The Spinning Gasing star and his mother strongly believe that respect should be the cornerstone of a harmonious Malaysia.

“We must always think good thoughts and be kind to others. And this is not a political statement, I just want to say thanks.”

His fans and followers praised him, with most of them hailing him as an exemplary Malaysian who has a sense of history.

“I’m deeply moved by what you’ve said. Thank you Adam Corrie, may you and your mother always be blessed with good health and success,” said Rafael.

“Thank you Adam Corrie. We must work together to make our nation strong and successful. We are all Malaysians," said Wanie.
