SHAH ALAM: K-Pop fever swept over Malaysian fans last night when the K-Wave Music Festival returned for its third edition.

Seven South Korean acts took the stage at Stadium Malawati here to thrill more than 7,000 fans with their respective mind-blowing performances throughout the three-hour concert.

The headliner, K-Rock band FT Island brought the house down with its earth-shaking hits such as Pray, The Night, Summer Night’s Dream, Champagne and Take Me Now.

FT Island

The only soloist of the night, Jeong Se-woon sent female audience members swooning with his charming self and soulful voice, performing hits such as 20 Something.

This marks FT Island’s third time performing in Malaysia while for the other acts, it is their first visit here.

“Thanks to you, we get to come to Malaysia for the first time, and it’sbeen a lovely experience so far,” said Boyfriend member Kim Dong-hyun.

“I’m so surprised to see many of you singing along with us. We never knew we had so many fans here,” said EXID member Park Jung-hwa.

“We will definitely come back for our own solo concert where we will prepare something even more exciting for you,” said FT Island’s vocalist, Lee Hong-ki.

The first instalment of K-Wave took place in August last year at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach and brought in K-Pop acts including Highlight, TeenTop, B1A4, BTOB and APink.
