SECTION 9 residents of Shah Alam are concerned about overhanging tree branches at three parking lots in Jalan Tengku Ampuan Zabedah F 9/F.

They urge Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) to trim the branches, or risk them endangering motorists and damaging parked vehicles should the trees are uprooted or the tree limbs broken during stormy weather.

A resident, Kamaruddin Hassan, said most motorists avoided parking their vehicles there for safety reasons.

“There is a tree tilting towards the parking lots. We are afraid it may be uprooted during heavy rain or strong winds.

“The overhanging branches of the bigger trees at the parking lots should be trimmed as well.”

ACTIONLINE:

MBSA said its officers from the Landscape Department would conduct checks on the trees near the parking lots in Jalan Tengku Ampuan Zabedah F 9/F.

Its corporate communication division head Shahrin Ahmad said the branches would be trimmed.
